A Suggestion...Only a suggestion.

I'm not one to make things mandatory especially on the forum. I have always thought the less rules, the better. But lately, I have found myself asking who a particular person is and what year of Nomad do they ride.

After looking into it, I found that most of us don't have much information about us in the footer.

So, I'd like to make a suggestion and propose that all of us place some info about you in your footer. I would say that as a minimum, you might place your name, nickname, location and Nomad year in your footer.

Example:

Robert "Trip" Hilliard
Lindale, Texas
2005 Nomad "Ruby Earl"

Of course you can add any other info you like, but this could be the minimum. In the end, this might help most of us identify someone and make more riding friends.

How do I add this info... you ask? Just click on the word "Profile" located on the nav bar at the top of this page. On your profile, click on "Modify Profile". Find the Signature text entry area and add your info. Be sure to click on "modify profile" at the bottom of your page to save everything.

Actually, you don't need to re-enter your password to modify your profile. Only enter in that field if you want to change your password.

If you want to make a change to your signature area you simply type in the new data into that field.

Don't forget to click on the "Modify Profile" button at the bottom when you're done or your changes won't be saved.

WTH, done. Not a bad idea. I still use NEPA for my location though. It's a lot easier than trying to explain where, in PA, Lake Ariel is. Just like when I was growing up. No one ever heard of my hometown so I just said a little north of the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. That they understood, even though I knew they didn't know where Cooperstown was. But they had heard of it so it was good enough, lol.

I hope everyone in the North East is out enjoying their weekend by riding. Finally, some sunny, warm weather. BTW, to the guy and his gal on the '06, Green Nomad w/ the trunk traveling on rt 611 (Northbound) through Tannersville, PA at around 4:30pm on Friday...HI!!!

I also think this is an excellent idea, especially for over in the "GARAGE SECTION". That way, when someone asks a question about something, you'll know what year and size of bike they are talking about.
