fairing windshield height

I'm adding a faring to my 2010 Nomad. It came with a short tinted windshield. I think I need something taller but not sure on the height. I'm 5'10" tall. Would an 8" windshield work or do I need something taller?

Ideally, the top of the windshield should be about nose level with you sitting in riding position. You may be able to use a shorter shield if it has a recurve to it. You want to look over the shield, not through it.

being about the same height I found the 12" shield about right for me.puts the air flow at
helmet level which I like as it allows the air flow vents in the helmet to work properly.

Thanks. Looks like a 10" is what I'm looking for.

I have a 9 inch re-curve Memphis Shade on my Reckless fairing and I look just over it. I'm 5'9". You may want to check but I don't think all fairings are the same height to start with and that could make a difference.

While in Daytona this past Saturday I took a gander at the new Indian Chief. The windshield will raise or lower (4 inches of travel) at the push of a button. Nice feature...the bike retails for $23k. That was on the tag anyway.
