just wonderig if the grasshopper drivers backrest mounting bracket attaches under the drivers seat or the passengers seat on the fender....half my riding is two up and some of my rides are solo with the passenger seat and backrest removed...
if the grasshopper is fender mounted,it would look kind of unsightly with passenger seat off....
i have an 02 with the stock seat........thanks

The attach point is under the driver's seat.

The attachment point is the bolt that holds the front seat on.
It will show if you remove the passenger seat.

I have to disagree. Mine bolts in to the bolt that holds the front of the passenger seat on. Part of it will be visible with the pass seat off. Mine is a 2003 1500.

Mine is as TC describes it, but I wouldn't call it unsightly. Sounds like different mount points for different model years? Send Grasshopper an email. They are good about replying to questions.

Interesting 1500s are different than 1600s apparently. The left photo is the bracket as seen solo over the back of the driver's seat. The right photo is the bracket under the front of the pillion.

Thanks everyone........answers my question ...
doesn't look like there is much adjustment options for the grasshopper other than bending the bracket foreward or backwards depending on preference..........thanks again
