Heel Shifter

At the Central Rally, Watchman adjusted my heel shifter to be flush with the floorboard, but I now need to get a Kuryaken or some other brand heel shifter. Other than Ebay, where would you recommend or does someone have one?

Um...why? I keep mine about 1.5 inches up and like it above the floorboard. It kinda acts as a heel stop on the rare occasions I have my feet on the boards. I know there are a lot of folks that don't like heel shifters, but I don't understand what you are trying to accomplish.. ??? Am I doing something wrong?

are you looking for the kuryakyn Chrome Cover? or???
The cover set up is on gadgets site.. I have them..

Kuryakyn Shift cover Toe # 8851
Heal #8029
Break #8857

http://gadgetjq.com/shiftpadreplace.htm

These are Covers for a HD, but fit our Nomads,, The Kick pedal cover you just drill a hole in the Stock pedal mounting plate,, and bolt on the Kryakyn cover...Is this what your asking???

and if you have long legs and want better room for your feet on the Break side try the Drifter Break Pedal extension
http://www.gadgetjq.com/brakepedalstretch.htm

Yeah, I'm with mikesth on this one. Don't understand the problem. You can adjust the shifter any where you want it to be. The toe shifter and heel shifter are two different pieces. Now on my Yamaha it was one piece and I can see where that would be a problem.
What is it you are trying to accomplish? ???

PS, what's wrong with Ebay

Other than hanging out with crazy people like JussMatt, you're not doing anything wrong. It's just one of those try it out kind of things and see if it's something I like. What I like is that I just slide my foot back instead of cocking my foot to shift.

I am looking for the chrome cover for the heel shifter like you have, but I was trying to do it without the drilling. The stock shifter sits straight flush, but I'm looking to raise it just very slightly but not as high as it was. Does that make sense?

Understood - you know this is gonna bug me now and I'm gonna have to fiddle with the height of the heel shifter now...gee something else to play with

And I'm not responsible for JussMatt's actions ...

lol Mike. It's not a bad thing to mess around with your bike.

TC, there's not a thing wrong with Ebay, just wondering if there was somewhere else to check.

Hey bug masher, Dennis Kirk has a cover that is made for the heel shifter. It is a clam shell type so I don't believe you would have to drill anything. Just put it on and tighten the two screws. It is part #50-4873 and is $28.99 in their 2007 catalog.

Here's a photo of the heel shift cover I have, and I have it to were it is jussst above the floorboard. It is the "clam shell type.
http://www.cruisercustomizing.com/de...roduct_ID=6846

Here is my rear brake pedal, and you do have to drill 1 hole in your backing plate.
http://www.cruisercustomizing.com/de...roduct_ID=4066

And here is my toe shifter, it is adjusted to were my foot will almost not fit under it. you just remove your old one and slip this one on. It is held in place with a set screw.

I really like the way they look and they have held up well for 2 1/2 years now.
