Million Dollar Hwy - Last weekend

I have a good friend who is a photographer and last week he went up Hwy 550 to get some fall shots. Here are a few:

Man that is beautiful colors Daryl. You definitely won't see anything like that around here. Nothing but swamps, marshes, and the state bird......mosquitoes.

Great pictures. When I rode the Hwy last June I was by myself and tried looking up at the mountains and then down into the ravines. When I did that a couple of times and became totally disoriented and it scared the sh## out of me. I wish I had someone in the back of the bike to take pictures and when I thought of stopping in spots I was already past the pull out to stop. I did take a couple in one spot but the pictures didn't do the HWY justice.

Unbelieveable rd. I wonder how many people die on that road every year.

Would love to ride it again some day.

You pay to live and ride in Colorado and it is really tuff, but some one has to do it so God made it a super place for us. Thanks for the photos Daryl. I,m lucky enough to ride 550 at least once a year and it is always a special ride.

My sister recently moved to Colorado Springs. She has told me I need to ride the Nomad up for a visit. Those pics make it hard not to.

Colorado and West Virginia are the two states I can think of where I could go and ride for weeks at a time.
Million dollar hwy is indeed beautiful!

Daryl those aspen trees sure are beautiful. I sure miss living in Colorado Springs, or for those of us foutunate enough to live there or have lived there, The Springs. Thanks so much for posting the great pictures. Makes me homesick.
