WTF I got a Screw Loose
So My PIAA Ultra White Low beam was out on the way to work this morning, it was still dark out. (Less than 5000 miles for a $45.00 bulb) Since my commute is in the city I never noticed till a car turns in front of me. After I hit the High beam on them and went back to low I proceeded into a dark area and noticed.
I got home tonight and went to install my stock bulb and I see this Bolt just sitting in the fairing after I removed the head lamp. It almost fell out when I touched it. It was slightly wedged on the right side Accessory light plug( Green). It has a #7 on the head of the Bolt, M6 x 1.0 x 20mm Looks just like the bolt that holds the Stock stereo up. Under the stereo. IMG_20180907_173953153.jpg Any Idea where it may have come from?? No rattles, I do not want to pull the fairing off, again just yet.

Looks like one of the bolts that hold your stereo in place . When I first bought my Vaquero the stereo literally fell into the fairing . There are four bolts that hold the stereo in place with rubber grommets . When I got home I removed the fairing and found 2 bolts laying inside and the other two were missing with one lost grommet . Ordered new grommets and got some matching bolts and did er up . I used loc tite and haven't had a problem .

I did notice I should have added the amp to the rear speakers for the future use. Since I am not happy with just the front anyway. And maybe putting a hole in the speaker cones for better sound. So Looking at the positive aspects of the procedure. I had a thought of wiring the rear speakers with a Sub and new amp for the sub into my trailer. Just for the heck of it. Not cutting the Bags for speakers, like some do.

Just go to Home Depot and get 2 cans of Great Stuff. Fill the entire cavity under the fairing and never worry about loose nuts or rattles again. (Warning: May impede changing of future lights.)... Just trying to help.

Why do you want me to cheap out? you told "Smokier" to use 3 cans I think Looks like it is one of the 2 top bolts that hold the stereo in place. Lucky I still have it. I was thinking we should start a list of things to do when you buy a Vaquero/ Voyager? Check your air cleaner and intake Cover Bolts Check your Tire pressures and treads Make sure you have a nut on your oil filter Make sure you run the correct brand of Oil.... Tape down your key Beauty ring Ect.
