Harley Sued Over Air-Cooled Engine Heat

LOL!!!----"The complaint goes on to state that since 1999, Twin Cam engines between 88 and 110 cubic inches are capable of producing excess heat - enough in fact to cause clothing to catch fire in normal operating conditions.

Hadn't heard anything of this until your article. Be interesting to see how it turns out.

Stating that clothing can catch fire is somewhat of a over-blown claim... but still funny that someone would claim that...
I always question articles on that site because through the years several were known to be spoofs...

Don't know what to make of it.
1. Clothes catching on fire? I suppose the PMG's (Polyester Motorcycle Gangsters) should try wearing leather like the rest of us. 2. Engine so hot the transmissions are melting (breaking)? Try pulling in the clutch lever while making a shift. 3. Engine running too hot? Do you live in the Southwest? 4. Engine running so hot you get burned? Stop squeezing the tank while your riding too fast. JMO

These "complainants" must not be real motorcycle riders. They don't have enough common sense! They need to man up! That is like filling suit against a boat manufacturer because their design might get you wet or even allow you to drown!
