The Heat is On !

Down here in south Louisiana, our good old hot, humid days are back. Supposed to hit 90 most of this week. I know we aren't as hot as CJ in AZ, but with our humidity, it's plenty hot. Very good riding weather, though. Plenty of bikes out cruising. I think " Crotch Rockets " were a popular Christmas gift last year. Tons of squids on the road. Summer is finally here. Be safe and enjoy !

Send some of that warmth up north! It's snowed here every day since Friday. It didn't stick around, but it's still only in the 40s for highs.

Hot? We haven't hit 100 yet, but probably will by end of week. You don't say it's hot in AZ unless it's 110 or above. That's about a month away.

It was really windy here this weekend. Riding sucked.

The Heat is On !

We usually only have two seasons here, summer and more summer. This year, we had four true seasons. We have been in the upper 70's and low 80's during the day, nights have been in the 40's and 50's. We're starting to get into our 90+ days which we all can related to down here. It's when the humidity is very high that this stuff down here will feel like it's killing ya.

Looks like a couple of well seasoned Nomad riders you have there. I remember when I was that age, heat didn't seem to bother me. What a difference time makes !!

I know this is changing the subject a little, but do any of you guys have trouble with pinging with 89 octane in hot weather ? I use it some in summer if premium is extremely high, just to save some money for a soft drink. LOL .

The Heat is On !

We had a nasty storm come thru again last week-rained all day Tuesday and turned to snow by early evening. Snowed all day Wednesday with winds peaking at 60 mph driving the white crap. We ended up with 8 inches of slush to deal with. The wind and rain showers are still happening and the forecast is for snow tomorrow, so we haven't been on the Nomads for 2 weeks.

Are you kidding? I had a problem with mine pinging on 91 octane when it's hot. That's the main reason I added a fuel processor and opened the intake up. I almost always run 89 now, but I can get away with 87 in the cooler months.

Yeah, I know, BD, that the Southern California climate is tough to live in. I admire your sacrifice to live there. Disgusting mild temps , sunshine, no oil slicks, zero humidity. Life can be a real bitch!
