I don't have one YET but plan on one by the end of the year. Just trying to plan all the mods while I stuff the piggy bank a bit more to get one.

I've got almost 9000 miles on Dunlop SP5000 195/60R-16. Still have 5mm of tread left. Should be good for at least another 10-15K.
Based on my past M/C tire wear, I would be replacing rear tire. Never got over 9K on M/C rear tire.
I have noticed tire is wearing a little less than 1mm more in the center than outer tread.
Recently lower the air pressure to 29lbs.

I've got 12,500 + on mine, and it has hardly any wear yet.

Question: Who do you get to mount this type of tire on your bike, beside yourself?

American Ironhorse in Huntsville, TX. They may make you sign a waiver, exemping them from all responsibility. They said they made me sign a waver, but all I signed was the credit card slip. They charged $75 for removing everything, mounting and balancing the tire, and putting everything back on.

If you go to the delphi darkside forum, they have a database that includes where people got their tire mounted.

I found out about a little custom wheel shop who did mine for $15. That's just a dismount and mount, I took them the wheel off the bike.

5,000 and counting, that 81 feet of rubber missing from last Sat night doesn't even show.

I had to mount mine myself, as no one would, no bike shop no car shop... But i am pretty rurl with out lots of local choices, and used to do this to eat once.

Got a question? How do the car tires handle the sharp corners and curves? It's a flat-looking tire and motorcycle tires are sorta round for the curves. Always wondered if you rode the sidewalls or what. Don't seem they were made for sharp turns. Jamie

jamie, this will give you an idea of how car tires handle curves.

As the picture shows, does not ride on the sidewalls,
