Found us another Nomad

Its been about 6 weeks since the Hill Country Ride and our poor Nomad was totaled while trailering it home. Cheryl and I have been hunting for another Nomad ever since.

I was getting tired of looking. Our dealer offered us a steal on a new 2009 but I really did not like the saddle bags and rear "V" shaped tail light. I held off and somebody bought the last one. I was even starting to look at Harley Ultras. Forgive me, but I was getting tired of looking. :)

I think God stepped in to help us out. We found a nice Christian man that said he never has time to ride his black 2006 Nomad. It has 2300 miles (that's not a typo) It has Kuryakin pegs and passing lamps. Otherwise the bike is bone stock. It has 8 months left on the extended warranty.

This nearly 5 year bike has been a garage ornament and looks brand new. Not a scratch that I could find. My 07 Nomad had 12k miles and plenty of battle scars.

I told the man his price was more than fair and I would not try to bring him down a nickel. Anyway the gentleman and I shook hands on the deal and we are to do the paperwork this morning.

We think we are back in the Nomad life. We will have pictures soon.

Bill and Cheryl

P.S. Our bruises and sore muscles have healed. Cheryl bought her a 2009 Toyota Sienna to replace her totaled 2004 Dodge Grand Caravan. It feels good to see a light at the end of this accident nuisance.

That's great Bill! I take it we'll see you guys in Eureka Springs? I know, those bruises and sore muscles take longer to heal than they used to.

Glad you were able to find what you wanted. Hope you are back in the saddle soon.
(I actually like the V shaped tail light on the new Nomad.)

1st glad no one was hurt. Then glad you could hold out for for another Nomad. when I totaled mine in 05, I tried several others but nothing fit. Finally I found another Nomad and it was like coming home, or putting on a favorite jacket, everything just fit. Hope to see you soon, ride safe.

Congrats! I know looking for Nomads can be tough. I was frustrated when I found mine. But I too found a great guy in Tucson, AZ that I bought mine from. Gave him full price after he picked me up from the airport. Maybe it's a Nomad thing that attracts good folks.
