OEM rear shocks for 01 Nomad
Anybody have any OEM rear shocks for 2001 Nomad laying around? Thanks to my mechanic, my left shock now spews oil from the air valve when you try to check the pressure.

For what I have seen used one's selling for on ebay time to time, I would buy a set of 412 HD Progressive instead.

I bet he filled it with an air compressor.
If you have to buy new shocks, take a look at the Progressives, they will work a lot better than the oem units.

If I were to buy Prgressives for a Nomad, would I buy ones that are the same size? They have varying lengths. Is it better to go with a longer or shorter shock?

I also have some oil come out of my shocks. I asked two different bike shops and they said that it isn't out of the ordinary for some oil to come out. Another told me as long as the bike doesn't "Bounce" when driving along that the shock is basically fine.

These here you can't even put a gauge on them without oil shooting out. And I mean lots! Anyway, found a pair on E-Bay, pair for $90

I went with the same length, but if you need to drop it a bit than you can go with 12" or less.
