Cleaning Nomad Wheels
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to clean the wheels. There is so much stuff in the way that I find it difficult, especially the rear. I do pull off the bags but it is still a pain.

pulling the bag is the best way I know of. of course while the bag is off you can clean the backside of the bag too. Use a big rag in the front or something on a handle.

Unfortunately, the best way(s) have been mentioned: removing the bags and getting in there and painstakingly attend to each nook and crannie. A second-best (and it's a distant 2nd best) is to use something like "Wheel brite" or some kind of spray on cleaner. It won't get the wheels as sparkly clean and show-room new looking as good ol' elbow grease, but it's better than nothing! My $.02, Daryl |

Thanks for all the suggestions. Doesn't look like there is any easy way to do this. LW, All my kids have grown up and moved away. Looks like you are a brother firefighter. I have just retired with 30 years of service. I am enjoying retirement but I miss the job. At least I have time to clean my wheels!

Excellent idea! Like the Beatles said "We like to keep our fire engine clean. It's a clean machine"

You are only as old as you feel. I feel like I'm 25, except my knees hurt, I've had 2 shoulder surgeries, I can't see anything without my glasses, Got a herniated disc in my back. I can't think of anything else. Oh wait, my mind is going too!

I only wash the rear wheel about every 3 washes, then I pull the bags. I wear a fleece mitten and dip it in soapy water. It gets in all the nooks real well.
