Gel Seat

Does anybody have experience with this gel seat?

Who makes the seat? Is it a Kawasaki part?

If you are thinking about a gel seat there is a guy in Vonore Tn Sports Drive is the business name they will do just about what ever you need done to your seat and a good price he reworked my seat and redid the passenger seat all for $300 not had it on any long rides yet but the short ones are great and said if I had problems come back and he would fix it. I think he uses a combo of gel and memory foam. Do a google search for Sports Drive Motocycle and I think it will come up if not let me know I will see if I can find his #

It's from the 2008 Kaxasaki Accessories Catalog and can be had for about $170.

i would not expect much from a $170.seat.

I had a gel seat on a Harley. Never again....too hot. It was a Saddleman and hard as a rock.

I had a Kawasaki gel seat on a 900 LT and was very dissapointed with it. Not much better than the stock seat.

My experience with gel seats is that they are only a little more comfortable than most stock seats (if at all), and that in the summer, they heat up a lot with the sun so that when you hop on your bike to go, you've got a hot seat that stays hot for a long time and doesn't seem to cool off as quick as other seats. Might be worth a shot though... if you don't like it, you could always put it back up for sale.

check out seat beads from beadrider.com I got them a couple years ago and won't ride without them. Made my stock nomad seat just fine for long rides
