Vaquero bags non removable?

I just got my May issue of Motor Cyclist Magazine and they have a writeup on the Vaquero on page 57.
I quote,"At nearly 10 gallons each, the side-loading hard bags carry plenty of cargo. The non-removable design does, however, complicate suspension adjustments and rear wheel maintenance."
Can this be correct ???

Of course not. They have to be removable.

Anytime you have to use a wrench to remove something these bozos (not all sorry) say that something is non removable. In some sense yes they are right stopping for the night you can't simply insert a key and take the bags into the model room with you like some bikes have so in there mind they are non removable. But like many here have found you can make your own QUICK disconnect mounting hardware to make them easy to remove in a about 30 seconds. So take it from whom it was said by!!!!

They aren't easily removable, like on a C14 or my RT. I would guess that is what they mean.

Anything can be removed if you have a big enough hammer. With that said, they mount like the rest of the Nomads according to the parts fich I checked out at a dealer web site.

Found a video and it showed the inside of a saddlebag it looks just like ours. Just have to install quick releases.

What a bunch of bozos. What does it take to get out a socket and remove our bags, 5 min.
I don't see how they call that non-removable. ::)

Vaquero bags non removable?

I thought they should be removeable. It would be very difficult to do any work on the rear if they couldn't be removed.

Vaquero bags non removable?

They attach the same way the 99-08 Nomad bags do. Two bolts and they're off in a flash. I've had mine off several times cleaning the nooks and crannies... ;)

How many miles you got on the Vaquero and how do you like it so far?

Using the same logic, I guess the wheels are non removable. Must make tire replacement more complicated. ::) ::)

Vaquero bags non removable?

Easy to make them removable by adding some knobs, I guess they mean that some other brands have easily removable bags.

Not trying to preach the HD gospel here, but my bags use Dzus fasteners. 2 in each bag, just a twist and they're off.
