Bikers Funeral...

Friend of mine died a few days ago..
A Harley rider since the early fifties.
His arrangement was to be buried on the seat of his bike.
Without the coffin.
Dead man on Harley going down with the crows lift.
Can you imagine?
In Holland it's possible.
If you have the money for such a freak show.
Never saw anything more horrific in my life.
Underground rider I suppose.

Most of my friends get toasted to ash, then blown from a cannon into the 4 winds. Different strokes eh? Sorry for the loss.

Too wierd man. But if that's what he really wanted. Not sure why we worry/think about what they do with us after we die. We aren't there anymore. We've moved on to somewhere. Heaven, .... whatever your beliefs. Personally I think because we're just energy anyway, it all gets released into the cosmos. or the big recycle bin.
Anyway, sorry for your loss.

Very strange for our culture. But I've heard of stranger things.

Somebody once got buried in a Cadillac Coupe and as he was being lowered, one of the mourners was heard to say, "Man, that's really living."

Only saying.

Thoughts to you and your friends family. When you remember someone every day, they live forever.

Me, when I die I want to be cremated and my ashes made into a cake. That way all my friends can bite my ass....

I'll tell my good friends not to eat the cake! ::)

So be careful what cake you eat!

Then again, they may enjoy eating it so they can flush you to a watery grave!

There is some fine movie about that.
Named ..Titus Andronicus..Anthony Hopkins playing a superb
part...directed by Oliver Stone...you watch that one.

Apart from that..my friend is gone,he knew where he was going.
He had a few maps and roads to find his way in the other life.
He was very sick ( cancer ) so for him it's been liberation.
That was also the bike he was buried with..a 1947 liberator.
He never sold it.

But..for me there will always be the memory of that burial.
Now I wish I stayed at home.
