Corbin Dual Tour Saddle - Vulcan Voyager

I recently had a custom seat built by Russell Day Long, so I'm selling my Corbin Dual Tour seat. This seat served me well and is in excellent condition. It carried me from Kansas to Tennessee and back with no problem. I was easily able to go from tank to tank in this seat. Seat went back to Corbin once to have a little more padding added to the rear pillion portion so it's a little more comfortable for the little lady than an off the shelf seat. This seat fits a Kawasaki Vulcan Voyager VN1700 2009 - 2013. I would assume it fits a Vaquero as well, but I'm not sure. You can call Corbin and ask to be sure.

Corbin charges $579.00 + shipping for this seat. Get it here for $450.00 shipped within the continental US. I have it boxed up and ready to go utilizing the formed styrofoam packing material it came in.

I would be even harder to deal with than Corbin, when he called to have it adjusted!

I guess it's not good business to discuss another seat on my "seat for sale" thread, but I must admit - The RDL is the best seat I've ever sat on.

The Corbin is good from tank to tank. Stretch your legs and your ready for another couple hundred miles. With the RDL, if it were not for having to fill the tank from time to time I could literally stay on it all day. Going to really test it out this Spring. I'm going to make a 2500 mile loop through the southwest in May.

Just a quick update on the seat... I had someone ask me if the seat would fit a Vaquero. I didn't know the answer, so I called Corbin and asked. According to the salesman I spoke with, it will not fit a Vaquero. They wouldn't go into details as to why it wouldn't fit though. If anyone knows why, I would be interested in knowing the reason. Basically the same damn bike by golly...

Contact gv550. His Voyager goes back and forth between looking like a Voyager and a Vaquero. I am pretty sure he puts a Vaquero seat on his Voyager so the Voyager seat should fit on a Vaquero ?

I have had several inquiries as to whether my seat would work on a Vaquero. I finally got an answer from someone that goes back and forth between a Vaquero and Voyager seat on his Voyager.

The Corbin Voyager seat will lock down on a Vaquero, but the locking mechanism is slightly higher on the rear fender of the Vaquero than it is on a Voyager. When he puts the Vaquero seat on his Voyager, he needs to put a couple washers under each side of the locking mechanism so it raises the Vaquero seat up slightly. Otherwise the rubber bumpers under the rear of the seat will bottom out on the fender and not let it lock down.

He told me that the Corbin Voyager seat would lock down on the Vaquero easily without any modification to the locking mechanism, but the rubber bumpers under the rear seat would have to be built up a bit to steady the seat or the seat might rock slightly from side to side.

Well... You could glue rubber washers to the existing bumper pads. I have my Corbin seat boxed up so I can't get to it now to see exactly what could be done.

Okay...I checked out my seat. I too have a custom Corbin Seat w/backrest for sale....not to hijack Mike's thread here....the difference being that Mike's seat will sit you about 2" further back than stock....and mine will sit you exactly in the same seating position as stock. Anyways....

The rubber bumpers are riveted into place. If I were to "build up" the bumpers, I would do several things. First, I would go down to the hardware store and pick up some similar sized rubber plugs....I know True Value has them because I bought some there once. They have ones about the same size for sure. Second, I would determine how much "extra" rubber was needed, then cut the rubber plugs to size and glue them in place. Lastly, I would wrap electrical tape around the edges between the two glued pieces. Voila....that would do it...!

That would probably do it. It's my understanding that if the pads are lengthened under the pillion it will stabilize the seat and enable it to be used on a Vaquero. This is information I was given however and not from first-hand experience.

The only thing I can tell you from personal experience is this sucker will fit a 2009 to current model Voyager and will sit you back between 1 to 2 inches further than stock. Basically the same riding position I had on my 1600 Nomad.
