Power Commander Maps

The pinging issue is getting worse. There is a Power Commander 3 installed on the bike. The map from PC3 website made it even worse since they go with negatine values at higher RPM. I had V&H pipes for a while but they are too noisy for me. Everything is back to stock right now.
The bike never had detonation problems when it was new and it never pinged with the aftermarket pipes (even with "zero" map. Right now I have a custom map that was made by trial and error method but it still pings some at midrange RPM and 40-60% throttle.
I know most of you guys use other TFI controllers. But I was wondering if anyone haa a PC3 and would like to share their map.

Hey Ivan,

If you just changed your pipes , I have the fix for you. You have an exhaust leak at the head pipe. You dont have to hear it to be leaking. Be sure that you install new gaskets anytime you remove a headpipe. If one starts to come loose , the pinging will be the first indicator before you hear the leak. Hope that helps. At least it is a place to start.

Thanks Gomad. I was not aware leaking headers could cause pinging. New OEM header gaskets were used when stock pipes were put back on the bike. I'll check to make sure all bolts are tight including the "goat bladder" gaskets.

Sam,
I don't have original shipping boxes anymore and I just don't have time to disassemble, wrap, pack and ship them.
I'd sell them only if someone wants to pick them up locally.
Baffles packing has been removed. They sound better that way and seem to give better "low end" torque. Other than that they are in very good shape.
