Test ride w/Fairing

We did about 200 miles yesterday. Even though the fairing isnt painted yet I had to try it :) GREAT Had coverage,, LOTs more dead air over the tank, no up drafts.. I have the 8" shield on and that is about right,, Im 6ft 3.. I may go with the 5"... The Reckless Fairng ws VERY stable on our crappy roads.. no buzzing or vibrations,,,,, Paint soon. then Radio w/weather band /CD/MP3:)

After adding my Premeux fairing about a month ago I can't imagine having a bike without one. Look forward to seeing pics of the finished product.

Thats great to hear, Rich. I just drilled the mounting holes in mine and mounted it up this evening. Fittment is just a hair off, but I can live with it. I've still got to get speakers, radio, and paint though....it never ends, but it sure is fun!

My prayers for your boys safe return. I am proud of our service men and women over there and yours too.

Welcome to the Batwing Club too. I can't imagine riding without one now. I recently put WOC's new flip windscreen on and now the air is being popped up and over the helmet. There is near total calm in the cockpit now.

Congrats Rich. ... as you might remember I bought "Strobes" and can't wait to get it on. He's installing it for me. I'm envious. Now get it to paint and post some photos.

Test ride w/Fairing

I my installed my fairing on Saturday and took it for a test ride. I was surprised how much more wind protection it gives you compared to the stock windshield. Mine is still in primer as well with a nice bug pattern. I'm going to install all the goodies today and then take it all apart and take it for paint later this week. Then somehow I'll have to show my wife what I've done! Any ideas?

Hi Guys, has anyone found a source for metric security bolts/screws in small quantities. I wanted to replace the four that hold the fairing/windshield on. It takes about thirty seconds to remove them and poof the fairing is gone.
Thanks Chris

Congrats Rich, and welcome to the "BatWing Fairing Brigade"..
After having them, there are two things I will always have on a bike, A fairing (with tunes), and a tour pack, they both have become "necessities
