Vaquero drivers backrest?

Has kawasaki come out with a backrest for the stock Vaq seat? When I bought my bike I saw the gap and assumed there was a backrest but learned they never sold them. Didn't meet their standards? Or something like that...

Anyhow, I was on the Kawasaki accessory page and saw Item # : K53020-406 for $359.95. No picture available. That's quite a price and if you read the fine print, pad kit also required and sold separately. So probably a $400 driver backrest????

That just seems insane

I thought there was one, but never priced it. I'm curious to see what others have found too

I put a grasshopper backrest on my wife's Vaquero. It works fine for her, and coming in around $100 worked fine for me!

I got a mustang seat w drivers backrest for Xmas so i'm set. Just in disbelief Kawasaki would charge nearly $400 for a drivers backrest. Better be pretty freakin awesome for that price.

the backrest that kawi has at that price is a detachable passenger backrest
and not for the drivver.

So it's mislabeled? Says drivers backrest. If they had a picture that would explain it better...

This driver backrest fits the Vaquero, and many other cruiser seats, its called the Max-support back rest and It clips to the passenger strap of your seat. it literally took me about 6 seconds to install it and it only costs about $55. check out pics and info on comfortzoneride.com

Utopia is a little speedy but worth it. Very solid and has a big pad.

I think he meant spendy which is not a word and it was auto-corrected.

I think Custom World makes something for around $250 that will work on the Vaquero. Kawi's backrest is priced insanely. You have to buy the bracket and pad separately and the two together come in at around $500!
