Hello from California

Hi,
I would like to introduce myself to this forum. My name is Mike Merritt and I live in Manteca, California (in the Central Valley). I just bought a new 2007 Nomad a few days ago, and I already love it. I'm new to the Nomad, but I have been riding for a long time (and I'm still learning).

I just really thought about the changes in technology over the years when I bought this Nomad. My first bike was an old '48 Cushman my dad bought me in the mid '50's (3 speeds and a centrifugal clutch) to ride around our rural neighborhood. It doesn't seem like it even came from the same planet as this bike did!
Sincerely,
Mike

Hello from California

Welcome, Mike,

My first bike was a 1959 Lambretta, and even it was from another planet than those clunky old Cushmans.

(I bought that Lambretta in '72 BTW. You gotta be a bit older than me--maybe what? 64-- if you were riding a cushman in the '50's.)

Hello from California

You're right on the mark, CaddmannQ. I'll be 64 in September. That Lambretta is probably still running somewhere. They seemed to last forever.

Welcome from Arizona, Mike. You have definitely picked the right place when it comes to getting information about Nomads.

Hello from California

Welcome Mike from Southern Louisiana. Bankerfrank is a city slicker but he's still a coona$s, transplant or not. He's lives closer to the National Champs than I do. Hey Frank, got some cheap tickets for next season???

Welcome from North Dakota! I've had my Nomad for only three weeks, but it puts a smile on my face every time I ride it!
