Fog Lights
I want to upgrade my fog lights on my Voyager. Can I safely install 45 watt Extreme White bulbs? The original bulbs are 35 watt lights. Is there that much difference in the heat the 45 watt bulbs will give off?

I imagine it would work out ok, You may have to up the fuse rating since they will be drawing more current.
I changed my driving lights from 35W to 55W and no problems ever.

I changed all of mine to LED, including the headlight, I will not be going back to the original. Takes of bit of work but looks good and sure reduces the wattage draw from the lights.

Just to be clear, these are different kinds of bulbs and assemblies than Ring has in his picture. But I agree completely, it should be okay.

smokey, did you change just the bulbs in the fog lights or the complete light. In either case what did you use for the fog lights?

Changed the complete light, I used the Harley fog and headlights and used the original housings, I had to "surgically" remove the stock headlight and fog light lenses and reflector, work the remainder with a dremel tool and then glue the Harley lights into place with very strong epoxy, I had to use the original housing due to the proprietary design.

By fog lights do you mean yellow lights?
Around here fog lights are yellow and driving lights/passing lights are white or clear.

Sorry no I didn't but I can basically go through the process if you wish, the problem is that the light are basically one piece units, I removed the clear lenses (which are glued in) by prying them off slowly and at the same time using varsol which softened the glue holding it in place. This is applicable to all the lights, after that it is just a matter of grinding down the housing until the retaining ring will fit into place for the spot lights, and the LED headling fits into place for the headlight, it is hard to describe the process as it was done as I progressed with the surgery, for want of a better word. You can pm me if you want and perhaps I can get you phone number and try to go through the process (I use google phone at no cost).

Smokey can you post a picture of the front of your bike? I'd like to see what headlights you used and how they turned out.

Not sure of how to post pics as they don't give you a very big file to download, send me your email address and I will send some pics to it instead. Posted the one for others to see.
