Rust and corrosion in 1700 Nomad
My Nomad is about 2 1/2 years old and has a lot of rust and corrosion showing in the chrome finishes. Mirrors crash bars windscreen mounts and exhaust mufflers. Kawasaki Australia saying this is not widespread issue so I was just wanting to get some feedback from other owners.

how often do you clean and wax your bike? if you don't keep it waxed then that wouldn't surprise me at all. I had a 1500 classic that was loaded down with chrome / custom paint, that bike sat outside with nothing but a cover for 8 years. People were always surprised when they found out it wasn't kept in a garage but I kept it clean and waxed.

A 2 1/2 year old bike should not be covered with rust I don't care if it was waxed regularly or not.
I have not heard anyone else complain about this.

If it was near a salty enviroment, that may cause it to start rusting. Ive seen salt eat stuff to pieces by being stored in the same area over a length of time.
