A bunch of Nomads for sale locally
If any of you find something, Nomad-wise, on Craigslist in the Denver area, I would be glad to try to check it our for ya, with a few limitations.
I've just noticed that there is rarely a Nomad on Ebay in my area anymore, but I just looked at Craigslist and there are 8 from the last month or so (usually the ads are removed when sold but not always.) The thing with Craigslist is that they discourage any long distance or out of town dealing and a lot of related scams have been offered. Just occurred to me that we could maybe help each other out some if we would be willing have a look at a bike for sale for another KawaNow member who's not in the area and maybe establish some sort of a legitimate connection between local seller and a more distant KawaNOW potential buyer. Thinking strictly volunteer with no financial connection for the middle man, just a chance to help a fellow member. Have a look at http://denver.craigslist.org/search/...min&maxAsk=max and see if anything interests you (there are few extraneous listings in the search). Just a thought. I could most easily cover the north side of the Denver area and in some cases might take a few days before I could go have a look at one for you. Might also be good to establish communication with the seller first to be sure a deal may be workable. Consider a PM if you don't want any details of your negotiation going public. Note that I have absolutely no financial interest in this, just might want to get a good deal on a Nomad in your area someday. Login or Register to Remove Ads |

That's a good idea. I just checked Craigslist/phoenix and there are 12 Nomads listed here. I'd be willing to help a brother out as well, within reason, of course.

A bunch of Nomads for sale locally
I would help Ells with the lower Denver area.
I know when I bought my 05 Nomad it was used with 2,000 miles on it. It was near San Diego and I would have loved having a local go have a look at it for me. I put a set of ramps in my truck and drove all the way their hoping that it wasn't a waste of an 1,100 mile drive. It turned out well and the bike was perfect, but would have been great getting it looked at prior. Login or Register to Remove Ads |

No Nomads for sale on Craig's list anywhere in Louisiana. Never see any in the newspaper either. Mostly Harleys and Hondas.

Just a word to the wise:
Of course the EBay offerings show the price that buyers are willing to pay, while the Craigslist prices are what the seller hopes to get. Good luck in finding a Nomad of your choice. |

Hi Ells
that sounds like a great idea to me. Im a bit out of the way here (Australia) but my partner and i were hoping to get over to the states one day and tour around a bit. I thought maybe when the time comes we could buy a bike over there ride it around for a few months then sell it again when we leave. If we could organize something like this through the site it would be great. I'd be happy to do the same for anyone thinking of making a similar trip down here. Let me know what you think. Mark. |

Mark,
Yeah, that is sort of what I had in mind, if you were to find something on CL in the Denver area, I could try to have a first hand look at it for you and let you know what I find. Wouldn't want to get involved in the financial negotiations or be a middleman, just would let you know what I thought of the bike (non-mechanical expert) and the seller. Some others here have indicated a willingness to do the same for other locations around the country. BTW, welcome to the board. You might want to post an introduction over on the general board so some others would get to know you as well. |
