OH BOY! West Virginia Pictures!!!

LOL!

I finally put some of our pictures together from our West Virginia group ride with some of our old Kawasaki buddies! One of our friend's had a spill on a hairpin turn, and her bike has been totaled because of the costs to repair :( She has two broken bones in her wrist and a HUGE hematoba on on her rear end, but she is home healing. She can't wait to get well enough to get another bike and ride again!! Good for her!!!
Fortunately, she also has a sense of humor about the whole thing and appreciated my picture tags with her bike!!!

It's only a little over 10 minutes and I added captions here and there to make it more entertaining!!! ;)

Good show, funny annotations. Looks like you had a great time except for your friend's misfortune. Is it a VN900, it didn't look like totaled on the photos.

It is a 900 that she was riding. It's amazing how the costs can add up! None of us there on the scene would have thought so either. The total costs were almost $5,500. She posted this openly on another forum, so I'll show you here how the costs can add up:

Yes, it was....I certainly got skilled in riding hairpin turns and switchbacks in WV!!! ::)

I hope the "incident" didn't happen too early into your ride. Sorry it happened at all though.
Just one thing CheriAnn ....were the other people KawaNOW members? I would have liked to know who "the players" were. I thought the "bigger fellow" looked a little like our own Jeff Platz "SWB"

Thank you! The only KawaNOW members there were hubby (Spazz) and myself. We told the other couple on the green Nomad about this site, though!

The others belong to a general Kawasaki forum. The large guy is named Shawn, a former Weight Lifter!!!

Oh, and her accident happened on our last night there, so she got to enjoy most of the ride and events!

Nice pics CheriAnn. You had me for a moment with the pic of the 2 semi's. I thought they were coming right at you till I had another look and realized you must of had a rear mounted camera and they were behind you.

Dang CheriAnn ya'll rode through my back yard and never said howdy :'(

Being in the center of WV its only a short trip to the New River Gorge, Cass Railroad and the Greenbank for me. Some friends and I took a similar trip earlier this summer, south down 19, east on the Midland Trail (60), north on the Senaca trail (219), headed east again on 66 to Cass. Then I went north on 92 over Cheat Mountain to Elkins, 33 west to Buckhannon and finally 20 south to 15 east and I was back home. Little less than 300 miles in one very (10 hours) long day! Got home sore and tired but very happy, I slept good that night.

Oh ya, the twists and curves wear you out so you have to make lots of stops to rest but no problem here, theres a lot to look at.

Great pictures and beautiful country. You did a great job of editing the slide show. I sat through the entire 10 minutes and 54 seconds and enjoyed it all.
