New old fairing

Well I figured I should post some pics of my fairing project for my 1500 classic. It's a twelfth dimension fairing I found on Craigslist. It's only mocked up so you do you think

Nice looking fairing but the handlebars are too high. Are they apes? You will get wet hands if riding in the rain. I installed a fairing off an 80' FLH on my 1500 Classic and it worked well.

Yeah they are 12 inch mini apes. I had 18s on it at one time.

All you need now are some dark shades, with some slicked back hair, (breel cream), and a white teeshirt with some Lucky Strikes rolled up in the sleeve one one shoulder, old black levi's with cuffs at the bottom, and some black harness boots to finish off the look....

I really like the lines of that fairing. If your 5'10 or so, you can go with a 8"-9" windshield, just enough for you to see over. Then, if you get buffeted by wind, add a wing to your windshield, ie, like the add-on from Memphis Shades or the one from our sponsor here on our site....
That wing will throw the wind over the top of your helmet or head....

Who is the sponsor on our site?

I would like to check out how they are made.

It looks like a fairing off an old Kawasaki Police bike (KZ1000). I think they were made by Vetter.

On the Batwing Fairing I have, it takes the StreetGlide windshields. I use the 8" which is comfortable for me, I just barely see over the top....I have no problem with buffeting.
The 4" is what the fairing came with stock, it have me too much facial wind even at 34-45 mph....
One thing nice about the Memphis Shades unit is its adjustable up or down for fine tuning....
