Half Helmet Fit

Hi All,

I just bought and received an Outlaw Half Helmet I bought from leatherup.com . Using their size chart, I measured my head etc and determined I needed a large.

While I know how a full face should feel/fit...I have no clue about a half helmet...

It feels snug on my head before and after i strap in, but when I shake my head left and right, i feel a little movement...nothing major. Tightening the chin strap not an option as it is at the snug/comfort level, anything tighter would be uncomfortable...

Also the helmet fits just down to the top of my ears....

So, what ya think? Right size?

I bought one of those Outlaw helmets too and mine fits about the same, so I'm assuming you have the right fit. Have you ridden while wearing it? That's how you really know.

Its comfortable and has good ventilation. My only problem is the strap holder. It loosened so much that the strap falls out and flaps around. I'm thinking of cutting the end a bit so I don't have to worry about it. Other than that, I like it and wear it more than my spiked helmet.

You could velcro that loose strap. If you cut it, it will probably keep fraying on you. Could melt the edge though.

The helmet should move a bit but your skin should move with it. If the helmet slides on top of the skin it is too loose or too big.

Half Helmet Fit

found out when I got mine that different manufacturers make different head shape helmets. You have round to oval shaped heads .... that might be the problem.

Hey I bought the same one only in grey. Fits great. Great price too. I actually had to exchange once and I was amazed at how simple they make the process.
