Nomad Trunk

I got an email from Kawasaki today about a trunk for the new nomad. It looks like the one on the Voyager.

$1349. A little pricy, no?

Nomad Trunk

It does seem a bit pricey at first, but once you consider other options plus rack and paint, it's about right.
*edit*
I just noticed it's only available in one color, so it may need paint in which, yes, it's too pricey.

Considering each of those saddle bags go for about $800.00 each. And given the cost of buying a trunk, getting it painted finding the right parts or fabricating them to fit from a differnt bike than the bracket to hold it up etc, I bet for the eash and bolt on and painted to match your bike know not a bad price.

How much is a premieaux? That's color matched and is probably bigger (and may be sturdier?).

Ponch, I got a email from JC Whitney offering me a trunk for $79. I suppose that maw Kaw must think more highly of you than she does of me??? Or maybe they think the depression hasn't hit Iowa yet and they want some of that Gasohol money that is flooding Iowa??? Or maybe it's the red bike syndrom and they just think you should have some black !

Tom:
I won't be spending $1300 on the Nomad anytime soon. At least I don't plan to. If I had a lot of loose change laying around, I might like this:

I don't think this price is out of line as long as you don't have to paint it. I just put a 99 Venture trunk on my 08. After all was said and done I'm not that far off on the cost of a new one. And I put over a week of work into it.
