What is supposed to be in the spot above the tool pouch?

Under the left "side cover" beneath the seat on my 08 Nomad 1600, is the tool pouch. Just above the tool pouch is an open spot with a velcro strap. Any idea what that spot might be for?

I had the same question when I first bought my 1500 Nomad . My buddy at the dealership told me " Anything you can get in there " . I went with it . That's where I put my EJK fuel tuner .

It is the spot where the charcoal canister lives on the California bikes, for the rest of us, as mentioned anything you want to use it for.

Ok good. Thought I might be missing something. I'm sure I can find something to stuff in there.

Good place to put an aux fuse block if you're planning on extras lights or a accessor port to charge your phone or whatever. Like the others said about anything you want tonstuff in there.

Thanks for all of the thoughts! Sounds like a good soot for a fuel processor when I get one!
