Not the greatest pics but here is Kris (Netnorske), me, and my neighbor Dan (St1300) at Crater Lake yesterday. Awesome Lake + surroundings. Highly recommend this to anyone close to the area.

We were also joined by Bob Wilson (catridenuf) at dinner the night before. Bob rode his sweet looking Nad to our hotel and we were entertained by quite the wild thunder and lightning show. The storm ended about the same time dinner did! It was great meeting Bob...sorry I did not get a picture of Bob at dinner.

Kris will probably post better pics at some point but he is currently on his way to San Bernadino, CA on his bike to umpire in the Little League World Series Regional Tournament!! If we get lucky maybe we will see him on ESPN...ESPN is broadcasting 2 games at the regional.

Kris hope you don't mind me bragging our Regional Leader up a little. If you do just give me the heave ho and boot me outta the ballpark...you need the practice.

I was hoping to hook up with Kris since I'm only an hour away from San Berdardino. I haven't heard from him....

Greg you could have said "an extremely wet sweet looking Nad." That was the quite the thunderstorm, hey? Hope you guys had a great ride to Crater Lake. I had a pretty wild ride home Saturday night but it was well worth it to meet you guys. Thanks a bunch for the invite! Kris, good luck in the regionals. Have a safe trip home.

skeeter,

It was kind of strange...wasn't cold but cool. The pics were taken around 11am. Me and Dan had mesh jackets on so when we hit the cool area we threw windbreakers over them.

By 1pm we were in lower elevation and dying of heat!

Crater Lake is a nice ride. Last time I did the loop was on my bike, not motorcycle, but bicycle and I was much younger, but obviously, not wiser. It was a killer. My father used to manage the lodge at Crater Lake and we visited often. A special place. I remember him telling me he stayed on the 2nd or 3rd story of the lodge and just opened his window and carved out a cooler in the snow to keep the beer cold. He migrated up to Multanomah Falls where our family runs the lodge. You live in God's country.

Yes, please stop by and say hi to kid brother Rick Buck, the manager. My father, now 89 doesn't get there as often as he used to. Tell Rick I said he would be happy to buy you a cup of coffee and piece of pie. He's not a rider, but a good guy.

I just returned from 13 days of west coast riding. I keep my Nomad in Klamath Falls. Again, you riders in the west have it made!!

I will do that...but won't make him buy...the economy has got to be killing him already.

Hi Bob,

No Kris, Dan, and I just went to the village (about 6 miles around the rim)and took some pics.

From there Dan and I turned around and headed back to the Portland area. Kris continued partially around the rim headed south to California...I am guessing he rode 20 miles of the rim...I think it is about 65 miles total, but 25-30 mph.
