When it's too cold to get outside on Nomad or Trek.....I bring the trek inside on the trainer. Does anybody make a trainer for the Nomad?

I don't know about the trainer, but I do know a guy who actually rode his bike in the back door, through the house, up the hallway, and out the front door while his wife was entertaining guests.

I'm not sure he's married anymore.

I did that on my bike in high school. I would've gotten away with it perhaps if I didn't leave a blackie on the slick floor just as I was coming up to the hall corner too fast, where in just a moment I was face to face with the assistant principle.

I'm I the only one who has had to scrub a 4 inch 15 foot long blackie off a tile floor?

Unwind, if my wife came home and saw that perched on her oriental rug, I would be in so much trouble!

I would have loved to been there to hear the explanation. Of course, I, myself have never done such a thing ::).

That's as bad as my daughter (13 at the time) riding her horse threw the house. Lucky for her she didn't have anything to clean up.

My Winter Ride

It was during the last couple of days of school, my senior year. I pleaded for him to not call the cops, told him that I was just trying to leave my mark (no pun intended here or at the time) on the school, said I'd clean it all up. Pleaded more and more.

I was banned from a lot of the senior activities on the last day of school, and I cleaned and cleaned. But he didn't call the police on me.

Doing a stunt like that and getting away with it would make you a hero, getting busted and cleaning it all up for hours.....not so much.

I got mine at Route 66 Bicycles in Rolla, Missouri. Any bicycle shop should carry them. You can get them online from places such as Nashbar.com or even catch them on ebay. Like everything else they come in different types and price ranges. Miine is a Cyclops magneto. Hope this helps.

Dan - you mean you don't ride your bike in buildings anymore? How about a new video - ride the Nomad thru the White House? I promise I'll send you some home baked cookies to the fed pen you'll be in. ;)

OK, the last time was in College. I was in a public speaking class (took all my hard classed first, needed some easy credit at the end :) )and we had to do a presentation to the class, and we could use props.

The class room had a divider curtain dividing it from a storage area for for the theatre dept. They had an overhead door.

Other students used props that would fit in your hands, at the beginning of mine I said I need to pick it up from behind the curtain. Then I opened the overhead door and rode into class through the curtain and up to the front with the Vance&Hines blazing.

People from other classes came to see what it was, and other faulty brought it to my attention in other classes. The teacher was amused fortunately. I suppose shockingly amused, or maybe total freaking shockingly amused is the most accurate.

I did get an A, but it was the last indoor inappropriate use of a motorcycle for me. I'm keeping my eye open for more though :)

Still trying to figure out how it is that I'd be in so much trouble if I parked a bicycle on a rug like yours. Perhaps as the lady of the house you get some kind of "lady of the house prerogative" huh?
