Said goodbye to my Nomad today
Feeling a little conflicted tonight. After jonesing for a Nomad for many years, and finally getting one a couple years ago, I sold mine tonight. Got an incredible deal on a Goldwing late last fall and decided to jump, after agreeing with the household CFO that the Nomad had to go in the spring. Even after adding the 'Wing to the garage, and having 6 months to get used to the idea, still hated to see the Nomad go. Had a ton of fun riding in Creston last summer, and rallying in Montana/Idaho the summer before (never knew a Nomad could carve twisties like that until I followed Crochammer and Canuckrider thru Lolo Pass!).
But all good things must come to an end, and so it is with my stint as a nomad owner (at least for now). Was a really great bike (only nitpicks on the 1500 were that it had a smaller tank than I would have liked, and the Power Commander sucked gas like crazy), but the power and added comfort of the 'Wing is a worthy replacement. Can't wait to give it a good work out this summer!

Congrats on the Wing, They are nice bikes. I took a new one for a demo ride last fall, they are very nice handling bikes. I was surprised at how they feel, and the power they have.

Congrats on the Gold Wing. You'll enjoy that for many miles. I had 95k on mine when I needed a change.

Upping the bar is a matter of opinion, not all opinions are the same

Oh the gratification garnered from the blistering cussing and hateful scowl of a malevolent wife after a man deliberately defies her asinine feminine logic just adds to the rush of virility as you stare at her grimacing in the saddle of your iron steed.
They look at that bike and know it means SOLITUDE AND FREEDOM, and they HATE IT!!!!!!! For those of you who wish to give her the same feeling as you get when you have the wind in your face, pick her up a brand new dust pan, You don't even have to wrap it or nothing. They got these gift boxes that wusses put nice dresses in that they wear one time and then hang it from her tread mill. While you're at it spend another quarter and get some of that stupid ass nice smelling lavender colored tissue to go in the box with it. THEY JUST LOVE IT!!!!! They'll be happy as a happy clam! The look on her face will be PRICELESS!!!!!!! It'll be one of them happy clam expressions. Sometimes, they cry they so damn happy!
