Battery Replacement
It's time for a new battery. Seven years on the original battery, which begs the question, is there an American made battery that will get you seven years? I'm sure it's been discussed before, but couldn't find the thread. Anyhow, I'm planning on having the Kawa dealer order an OEM Japanese battery unless anyone has a better option. No doubt it will cost extra dollars, but seven years is as good as it gets (except the gel cells on my sailboat that lasted 10 years). Buck

Battery Replacement
YUASA batteries are great. I changed mine out at six years on my Intruder, just to be on the safe side. It was still cranking just fine, even without trickle charging....ever!

Battery Replacement
I'd find the Yuasa on the internet for around $90. The dealer will want like $120 + tax.

Battery Replacement
4 or 5 years I think is certainly not uncommon due to the fact the bikes are usually ridden long enough to keep a good charge on the battery.I rarely ride mine for less than 30-45 minutes at a time, unless I have to get gas before I continue on. We just don't do the stuff that is so hard on batteries.
