Slip On Mufflers?

Anyone know if anybody makes Slip On Mufflers for the Nomad?
Sure would be nice if someone made a replacement for these.

Has anyone tried a Harley Slip On?

John ???

Slip On Mufflers?

A couple of guys have used HD mufflers and where satisfied with the results. Check out some dealers they usually have takeoffs from new bikes that they switch pipes on.

Slip On Mufflers?

If its a little deeper rumble you're after check out this thread: http://kawanow.proboards77.com/index...3796507&page=1

You can remove the inside of the muffler pretty easily. Lots of us did this after blowndodge wrote about it.

Slip On Mufflers?

I replaced the stock mufflers with V&H and I want to put fish tails on it. I talk to my mechanic and he said as long as the diameter is correct, they can just remove the muffler part from the exhaust pipe and install the slip on fish tail. The only problem is the bracket that holds up the rear of the tailpipe. It would have to be frabricated but it shouldn't be too much of a problem. I haven't done it yet mainly cuz I think it'll be really loud. I have a friend with a classic 1600 running straight no baffles V&H and it sounds like a truck!

Slip On Mufflers?

I ran my V&H with no baffles for a few minutes and found it too loud, and loss of power due to no back pressure. It runs and sounds better with the baffles installed.
