Looks like the guy needs to watch a video on how to properly pick up bikes. Having said that it really stinks. I hit a patch not too long ago and it's no fun.

I saw a comment where a guy asked how to drive on ice. Im guessing the best advice is don't.
Saw another saying it was too heavy for him to pick up at 660 lb. Ours weigh 770 dry and one person can (kind of) easily pick it up. If your bike weighs more than you do, learn to pick it up alone.

That's an old one and it's near Tucson.

It could have been 80° just 5 miles back. I rode up Mt Lemmon and it was 90+ degrees in the valley and in the 50's up around 9000' with a few feet of snow on the ground. I think it's only 11 miles to the top.

A helmet, boots and full coverage gloves are the minimum. Just my opinion and you know I am not shy when it comes to voicing my opinion

I agree. The poor guy probably scuffed his fine Italian loafers.

He seemed to be pretty disoriented also. Wandering around aimlessly. It was almost like he was in shock.

Even when the guy in the truck stopped, he still didn't seem to know what to do.

A couple of years ago, I saw a demo where they showed how easy it is to pick up a Victory Touring bike. It was quite impressive. BTW, very nice colour combo on that Victory. |

Her 4th year of "front seat", Patricia did a double fishtail across a patch of ice about the same size as the one in the video. She pulled out of it successfully, but I about crapped myself watchin'. I told her after that, she could no longer refer to herself as a "novice rider". That's also when we agreed not to ride below 40°. Since then I've been out several times below freezing, but not "just for the ride".
