I want louder pipes Nomad 1600
I want more noise from my V&H dual bagger exhaust. Ive taken some of the baffle insulation off, taking all of it off resulted in loss of low end power i thought. Any ideas? Will Rhienhardts sound better, or fit?

I would look at Chucksters ultimate baffle's and put in a set of torque cones . Nice and loud and the cones will give you the back pressure you need for low end torque .
Guess where I learned this from ???? The forum ..... Isn't it great |

Here's Chuckster's site . If he doesn't sell the torque cones there is someone on here who makes them . I'm sure he'll chime in soon .

You can get header cones from any Harley dealer, I did.

Stick a pair of straight through pipes on it.You might lose a bit of grunt, but gain on power further up the rev range. Its a 1600 Vtwin,so it can afford to lose a bit.And revving it a more will only enhance the pleasure of the sound.I am well impressed with mine.

Put some torque cones in and remove everything from the headers back.
That should be able to make some noise.

Talk to TopCat. Loud pipes are his PASSION! I think his motto is, "Louder is better!". He probably DREAMS about loud pipes.
Probably the best way to get a hold of him is by PM'ing him on the forum. If you get his email address, the best way to get his attention is to include a sound clip of your extra LOUD pipes. If you don't do this, he might not respond. Like I said, loud pipes are his PASSION!

OK MM, I'm strapping the skillet on my head now! ----cringe---
Now, what useful purpose does this serve to get TCs bloodpressure up????? We need a few more avatars to convey our thoughts....One is someone throwing a stone and getting hit in the head, or getting slapped around. Two....is a dead horse being beaten.... Three....bow and worship to a higher intelligence....

I like giving TC a rough time. He knows I'm kidding. I doubt anything I say would rate high enough on TCs scale to raise his blood pressure.
