He was from GA, I do remember that. Quintin was his first name, can't recall his last name. Great guy though.

Who has 40,000 miles on their Nomad
I would have if we hadn't gotten early snow this year, I'm 500 hundred miles short. All I've done is change oil and filter per recommended mileages, lube splines, couple sets of new tires, clean air filter, and change the hyponoid gear lube twice. (And rejoiced at having hydraulic valves at appropriate mileage intervals.)

Okay, my ignorance -- hyponoid gear??? ???
40K on my VN1800B, BTW, zero issues. Pretty sure it does not have a hyponoid gear, if so, don't think it ever got lubed. |

Who has 40,000 miles on their Nomad
I have 60,000 on our 2006. Had to replace the clutch spring at 38,000. At 52,000 I replaced the clutch push rod seal, did this one myself for less than $20. At 57,000 I had the drive shaft seal change out, I think that one cost $120 at a shop in Illinois. I, myself replaced the inner and outer spark plug tube O-Rings, for under $20. This one was my fault for taking the tubes out in the first place (wanted to see if my cam chain was rubbing on the tubes....NOT). I changed the rear brake pads 2X, about $35 each time. Oil changes every 3K, And lots of tires when necessary. To be honest, this bike runs as good now as it did when new...I love it!
