Somebody made this famous, I don't remember who.

Sound's like a great obit. I hope to die at the end of a long MC ride to my favorite fishing spot while I'm climbing out of the river with my fly rod in my hand. I just pray to God that I have a good looking fly tied on at the time. Especially if it is one of mine.

Here's my Obit - pulled it out of the American Cowboy mag years ago - just rang true with me
The Cowboy Way Is... ...knowing-and doing-the right thing. ... adhering to a policy of honesty even at times when it may not seem to be in one’s best interests. ...living by a sense of justice in a world where the cards can be stacked against you. ...exercising enough common sense to recognize the value of a lost cause and the cost of lost values. ...showing quiet reserve in all things except freedom, fresh air and Saturday night. ...having a keen eye for a good horse, and a good gun. ...being familiar with hard work, hard knocks and hard roads. ...showing constancy to friends-- all the more so when they need you. ...being moved to tears when lesser individuals would display indifference and being given to joy in situations others would only view with disdain. ...living plainly, not because it's necessary to do without, but because one has found treasures within. ...and, finally, showing Courage--a trait which at worst, is only a badly directed sense of conceit, and which, at best, is the stuff dreams are made of. ... from AMERICAN COWBOY |

Aye, fight and you may die, run, and you'll live... at least a while. And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willin' to trade ALL the days, from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they'll never take... OUR FREEDOM! (William Wallace-Braveheart)
