Looking for a trunk?

I saw what looked like a great deal on craigslist for a trunk... $150 and black!

I have been looking at a used one, is quailty questionable?
Size quality wise how do they compare to others ???

No, the quality isn't questionable. It's a $150 trunk. Just don't expect the same level of quality as you'd get with an $800 trunk.

on my bike I actually found a used 1990's vintage voyager trunk on e-bay and had it painted to match the bike......maybe about $400 total including painting.

Kudzu, Like the style of that trunk. When I was looking to buy, everyone I bid on went for more than I was willing to pay. Finally got a good deal on an HD tourpack.

As far as the advertised trunk, just like CJ stated "It's a $150 trunk". Knew a couple of people who bought one and it didn't stand up over time.

Yeah waterman,,,,I felt like i should stay with the Kawa trunk, and thought the the older voyager trunk worked well.......It wasn't easy to find one on e-bay w/o spending a lot...it took me about 3 -4 weeks and about 20 trunks on e-bay before i found it........Oh and by the way there is a voyager trunk, complete with speakers and all back pads, etc on e-bay right now for $450 (last time I checked)

......he was selling a voyager but had extra parts and found me a lightbar to replace the broken lens you can see in the 1st picture of my post.

i would also echo these comments.....the first trunk I bought was a $119 special and it is now sitting in my closet.....you get what you pay for so be careful.....most of the lower $ trunks are plastic.....the older trunks like i got are thicker fiberglass and will hold up better.

My DMY is still in service after 1 1/2 years. It is plastic but so far so good with the plastic and the latch holding up, knock on wood. The only problem I've had is a slight misalignment of the lid to the bottom half of the box which causes it to wear out the rubber gasket at the two rear corners. I've changed that gasket 3 times on Mutazu's dime. Now they want $10 and some change + a couple of dollars shipping for a new gasket. I'll keep going with it until something worse goes wrong. Then it will be a Scootworks or Premeaux.

just got email from the guy I mentioned in my previous post.....here is the e-mail if anyone is interested;

Just wanted to let you know that I can get ahold of trunks for any of the vulcan guys and I do have a set of Armrest that mount to that trunk coming in.
