Finally!!

Finally after 3 weeks of being in the shop, chasing a electrical problem, I have my Nomad back home.
The wife and I took a 200 mile round trip to south Brookhaven to visit some family as a "maiden voyage". The bike did great, and I'm thrilled to have it back. Gotta be careful though, sixth gear is so quiet and smooth, I'm gonna end up with a ticket

Yeah all covered under warranty. They replaced the entire engine wiring harness. That didnt fix it. Finally traced it down to an unsoldered resistor in the starter switch wiring.

Glad they were able to figure that out. You shouldn't have any more problems, at least not for a long time.

That would have been a tough symptom to track down, sounds like they knew what they were doing, it just took a while.

Lol Bobby I didn't even ask or look back at it. I was so glad to have mine back.
The Vaquero has about 600 miles on it now. You could probably get it for a decent deal.

Update: They are asking about $15k for the Vaquero i was riding at Got Gear Motorsports. Way too much IMO but just a FYI.

Hey, jwg!
The next time you get as far down as Brookhaven you might as well ride the extra 20 miles and come on down to McComb. I could ride back your way with you and perhaps show you a new road or two. 200 miles north of Brookhaven should put you somewhere around Batesville. How close am I to being right?

Sas, it was 200 miles round trip. I live in Brandon. Only reason it was that long of is trip, is we took back roads and enjoyed the ride. Next time I get that way, we should get together! Maybe you could show me a road or two lol.
I'm hoping we can all get together soon, I would like to meet everyone. I know its hard to get everything organized though.

Sorry to be so late in responding to your message. The trip to Eureka Springs and a couple other events must have had me preoccupied. I know everyone would like to meet you, too, and perhaps a ride can be arranged some time soon. Ya never know when of of us just can't stand it any longer and will jump up and holler "Road Trip!" That goes for you, too, jwg. If you come up with a ride and a date, post the meeting place and then listen for the sound of motorcycles! LOL!

Jim, your closer, but still about 20 miles to the north lol. I'm in Brandon. We took hwy 18 out of brandon to hwy 13. Headed south on 13 thru Mendenhall to Prentiss. Took hwy 84 in Prentiss headed toward Monticello. Went thru Monticello on towards Brookhaven on 84 till we reached hwy 583s. turned left there went on a few miles to my family's house. I think it was 191 miles round trip. A lot farther than the interstate for sure, but a nice ride.

583 is a nice ride! We get on in Brookhaven just of 84 and usually get off at 44 W and back into McComb. Many times we'll just run 583 to Tylertown and back home on 98. If you get down this way again, I'm not far form Exit 18 at the Mall. About four blocks away just off 51 S.

Gregg, are you an original pike county resident? I've got family scattered all around Lincoln and Pike county. Some of my people may know some of your people. We should compare notes sometime.

Yall call me Wes by the way.
