Fender Under Coating?

Wanna pick ya'lls brain here. Rode over to this guys house today over in OKC, was about 70 today....he was sorting stuff out of his junk collection to take to a big swap meet. He had this generic looking Indian/Drifter style front fender. Even has the holes for mounting the indian head light on top.
I was considering running this on my bike, as the nomads look alot like the early model harley dressers. It has the cutout on the side that clears the brake caliper. And I sat it on a 21" wheel he had set aside to take to the meet. Picked the fender up for $25. Its rusty, but in really good condition.
Now the Question....When I get my paint redone on my bike, Has anyone here used something like bedliner or undercoating to coat the underside of their fenders? And if so, was it durable? Was gonna run my underfender wiring thru some superthin alum. tubing, mash it flat on the wires, then form the flatened tubing to the underside of the fender with JBWeld to adhere it, then put a coating over it....
Thoughts?

I just rode in about 20 minutes ago from work. It was 41 degrees on the thermometer on my skoot. Kinda felt like it too.

Bedliner would be good, it would hold up nicely.

I always either just painted the back side with whatever was left over or used something like plasti-coat or plasti-dip, and just brush it on.

Rustoleum sells a product they call cold galvanizing in a spray can that works very well on the underside of the 4WD's and I've been using it lately. It's a medium grey color and holds up unbelievably well on offroad rigs, so I figure it'll work well on bike undersides.

And it's available at Home Depot.

Just My Opinion

MAS, that stuff from Lowes, does it go on thick? Can you put on multiple coats like paint? Hell, if it works on 4x4's and holds up good....should be fine for fenders! Thanks!
What I can do is sandblast this fender, then I will JBWeld the conduit to the underside of the fender. Then put this coating on to seal it and protect it.

It's not real thick on the 1st coat but it builds up fast on the 2nd coat.

I use it on a lot of under carriage pieces, spring mounts, drive shafts, whatever looks rusty in color.

It gives it a nice grey look.

And it hoses off nicely.

I have used brake tubing and tack welded it to the underside of the fender, never had a problem.
