almost the very dark side

I went for ride with the future son-n-law and found myself looking at a fully loaded ultra -05 HD for a very nice price they offered $5,200 on my 03 not bad and their fiance department came to meet my payment request with a 5.6 interest rate not bad but for........99 months can you believe it 99 months I have never even heard of anything like it this was on 14,000 I laugh at them and then told them they had lost their minds LOLOLOL they think way to much of their bike. I would have never thought about it but this thing was loaded with it all. I feel embarrassed to say I thought of giving up my nomad this will not happen again.
ride safe.

Well, that's only 8.25 years. You would probably only be upside down in that loan for maybe 7 years.

David, you can't let them seduce you into buying one. There are evil men that work at those places. Although I found an Ultra that was teal and white that was beautiful. Can't get it but it was mighty pretty.

My ol' girl will be fine for awhile...no, I don't mean the wife, in mean the '99.

99 month motorcycle loan??? Wonder if that would qualify you for an Obama Bailout?

Last weekend I was talking with an Ultra Classic owner. We have met at several PGR rides. He has told me more than once, how he wished he had kept his Nomad instead of buying the Harley.

This time I asked him why? He said the Nomad rode better with the longer wheel base, it had less vibration, the engine heating issue, and he just felt cramped in on it.

He went on to say the only reason he bought the Hog was his friends where he lived all rode Harleys and the Hog Chapter there won't allow a metric to ride along.

I felt sorry for him.

Wow, I am enough of a contrarian that I would have asked if they knew what H-D's mission statement is;

"Our diversity mission is to foster a culture that integrates diversity and inclusion into all aspects of the business in order to further fulfill dreams through the experiences of motorcycling."

I would not ride with a group that has that kind of mentality some of the HD and crotch rocket crowds are the only I have found that do this and they can keep it.
ride safe.

David,

Well maybe what you ought to tell the HOG club is...oh I am not riding with you...I am inviting all of you to ride with me.

And people wonder why HD owners get bashed so much.

My buddy's HOG chapter was going on a ride someplace (don't remember where) and he asked me if I'd like to ride along. I said something like "are you sure they'd let a Kawasaki ride with them?" He said "sure. You would be my guest. But you'd have to ride at the back." I told him they could kiss my Nomad ass. (pardon my french, folks!).
