New Member (well, last Sept) from NH

Just wanted to officially introduce myself and say Hi to everybody.

Name is Tom and I live in Seacoast, NH. Been riding since '74, previous bike being a 1978 Suzuki GS750EC. But now that the kids are getting older, my wife (Sue) and I want to do a lot more touring. The GS just isn't big enough. So after much research and comparisons between Yamaha's, Kawasaki's, and HD's, I bought a brand new 2008 Nomad (black) last spring, and put just under 7000 miles on it last summer. Spent the winter adding various mods, including a trunk, a Day-Long seat, run-turn-brake controller, a fuel processor, GPS, power outlet, drink holder, side bag top racks, side bag inside shelves, throttle lock and extra running lights, both high and low. Maybe a couple of other things too. Now looking at intake and exhaust changes. (Just when I think I'm done, someone comes along with another thread or link that gives me more ideas.)

We're especially looking forward to a planned trip in 2011, shipping the bike to Colorado, and then spending 4 weeks riding the Pacific Northwest, up into Canada, and probably ending around Chicago.

Anyway, looking forward to many weekend getaways and maybe one week-long trip this summer, and hopefully being able to meet up with folks along the way. This is a great site with great people. Happy to be able to be part of it.
