Paint career
I know I have posted some paint stuff on here months ago and I am sure some would say "hey man you gonna make a career out of painting your bike?" but I finally fixed the parts I messed up royaly (runs etc.) and now I am putting everything back on. I am bragging here because I have never painted before and I think this things is turning out great.
Not the greatest photos but these shots clearly show how drasticaly the color shifts as you change the angle... is it blue?... is it green?... Also... I swear I sized these down on PB but they still come across HUGE ! ! ! Login or Register to Remove Ads |

It certainly is unusual. It'll be kinda like ridin' a big green/blue lizard.
Except of course that lizards don't growl. |

It looks like an A1 job, beproud , and admire the money you saved over paying a pro to do the same job.

I think it'll look really cool when assembled.
A friend and I once painted an entire Chevy van with "fish scales" sorta like that. We didn't do the top in scales, but that was a lot of freakin' work, and the body was very clean to begin with. I've done some body work and painting (house painting too) and the prep work is always way more work than you're really thinking you want to do. Unfortunately, once you start there's no turning back. |

people have always told me it was the prep and finish that makes a paint job and that is damn sure the truth ! ! ! ! ! A bike shows off this color shifting paint well because it has a lot of angle changes over a short distance... however those same angle changes are a 8ITCH to sand... and there is a TON of sanding ! ! ! !

HehHeh...
I never did a paint job in my life where I bought enough sandpaper before I started. |

Fantastic paint job! But how in the world did you get the cross-hatch? Obviously, I'm not a painter.
