You'll like that sound JJ... I'm a lot happier w/ my stock pipes now... at least for a little while longer anyway. I am thinking of punching 1 more baffle though... I've heard on here it will make it just a little louder...

Why have a bike that sound like a Vespa??? if I wanted a Vespa I would have bought one. I wanted a bike to sound macho, and thats what after market pipes give you. macho like Nico!!

I lost enough of my hearing in Iraq. I prefer to ride all day without my ears ringing at the end of the day.

Thanks flightdoc. That pic was taken off of Hwy 155 in washington state just above the columbia river somewhere near Belvedere.

I hear ya Wolfman. I make my living with my ears and if I lose any hearing I'm out of business. Got to take care of that stuff because once it's gone, it's gone.
But...to each his own.

I like a little louder than the first step in the muffler labotomy...but not so loud I can't start my bike in the morning before people are awake... I'm sure I'll end up with either V&H or Cobra's...but still need to save $$ first.

Some like it hot, some like it cold. That is why there are sooooo many options available for all of us. I agree with those of you who want slightly more sound without ear splitting decibels screaming at me for thousands of miles. Like Wolfman my ears were already damaged in the Corps working around J79 jet engines and ground support equipment and I can't stand loud sounds for any length of time. Debaffled is plenty loud for me.
