I cut out my cross over air tube so that i could get to the cam chain extenders. Now i gotta do an air mod. Im unsure of putting in a bigger jet in my carbs. Suggestions please. I gotta get this girl going before Maggie Valley.

On my 99 I used stock pilot jet and a 170 main jet some go with a 165 main Start with about 2 turns out on you're mixtyre screw. With you're cross over tube missing you should be able to adjust it with a small screwdriver while at idle.I got my extenders in without removing the cross over tube but yes it was tight.i just opened up the right side with a 9 inch air cleaner and left the left side stock with the filter in it also. I was going to make sure it worked ok first and does run a lot better I will put coasters and remove all the old air plumbing down the road.make sure you marble off you're reed valves if you don't get the coasters and the big tube that hooks to the left side backing plate. With coasters you just need to plug the vacume line with a golf tee or screw that goes to the back of the carb.
