Good way to start the day

I was riding to work this morning and was stopped at a major intersection. I hear the unmistakable sound of an ST1300 pulling up to my right rear. The light turns green and I hear him accelerate about the same as me. I was going to be turning right at the next intersection, so I checked my mirror to make sure he wasn't too close behind me, did a head check to the right to look for cars in the next lane and moved over. About 500 yards later, he pulls along side me on my left. It was a Chandler PD motor officer and as he passes, he turns his head slightly and says "nice bike!". I thanked him and rode on.

Ahhh, racing cops off the line too huh? :)

Nah. I know better than to try to race an ST1300, especially when it's underneath a cop.

Don't ya hate it when lie to you like that!! Now if you were on a Green/Silver.......well I could believe that then!!

Actually the CPD motor guys like the Nomad. Most of them have been in my office salivating over mine. I program their radios and we talk about riding. They are fairly decent. Now for the rest of officers, especially the new kids .......

I have motorcycle cops in the Charlotte area give me the thumbs up all the time.
