any spoked wire wheels for the Nomad??

I've got an '02 Nomad and was wondering if anyone knows if the 1500 classic wire wheels will fit, or if there is another place I can go to find some wire wheels. I'd even be willing to buy a used that would fit. Thanks guys. Hopefully someone will respond or just send me a message. thanks again!!

The front wheel shouldn't be too big a problem to bolt on, but I don't know if there is a wire wheel with dual discs. The rear wheel may be a little tougher , Im not sure if the classics have shaft or belt drive. The spacing may be a little different as well as the rim widths, check if a Drifter wheel will fit.

The classics are shaft drive. I wonder how they compare to a Nomad weight wise though.

The wire wheels have a nice traditional look, but for me the safety trade off of having to run tubes is not worth it. I like knowing that if I have a tire go down, it is going to be a slow leak.

I do like the look though.

One of the reasons I bought a Nomad was because of the sturdy mag wheels. I was just tired after 30 years of cleaning, tightening, and truing wire wheels on motorcycles (not to mention all the bicycles I did as a kid.)

Also, tubeless tires are a boon! I've patched my last tube.

Spoked wheels *look* nice, but they aren't worth the hassle to me, having to clean them and use tubes.

Spokes look nice, but are a pain to clean and with the saddlebags and the dual discs, you can not hardly see the wheels anyway.
The wheels not being spokes were one of the many things I love about ?Nomad

For me, one of the selling points of the Nomad was that it didn't have spoked wheels to mess with: easier to clean and safer, I think. Good luck in your search, though; they do look great when they are new and bright.
