Need Advice for Vaquero Intake

Hi..I'm new to the forum and just purchased a 2012 Vaquero. I've read on this forum and other sources that the OEM intake is extremely restrictive. Have you guys figured out any mods or part change outs to correct this? What are the results? I have a set a V & H twin staggered slip-ons that will be going on soon and a Cobra FI200 PowerPro so I am wondering if I should just go ahead and modify the intake /filter assembly at the same time.

I apologize in advance if this is an old topic. Thanks.

Chuckster makes one of the best intake air manifolds I'v seen I have a thunder big air kit for stock dog bowls, V&N twin slash rounds and had a cobra Fi2000r on my vaquero. Before the thunder air kit I had a K&N air filter and I think the cobra Fi2000r worked better with that set up sence I'v added the thunder Im going with a PCV/IGN. AS soon as its out of the dealer for the intake leak it gets the PCV put on and dyno hope it dose better on mpg and performance will post more later.

Get Chucksters air intake kit. With the PowerPro and the V&H mufflers your bike will have much more pep.

Do a search, I posted awhile back the results of the BAK, Cobra Tri-oval s/ons and PCV on a customer's Vulcan. The V&H s/ons make more power than the Cobra's.

You will really like the improvement over stock with the air kit,
