Accessory socket removal

I have to do some repairs on the fairing as it cracked in the area of the accessory socket on my voyager fairing, has anyone removed that socket as I cannot figure out how it is secured, thanks.

The damage was due to my installing a small rheostat type control for my accessory lights, I recommend not putting it in near the socket as it overstressed the plastic. Easy fix but a PITA to do it with the socket in place.

Yep, took the pocket out, have to look for the nut because I don't see any way to get any tool into that space.

I have heard of a few fairings on the Voyager/Vaquero cracking, without any modifications.

Yep, you have to be very careful when removing things and taking them apart, those rubber grommets are not exactly the strong points.
