AZ ain't bad 7 months out of the year. If I had a summer home in Show Low or Prescott, may be it would be perfect. At least I don't have to shovel snow.

Sister lived in Phoenix for nearly 20-years; and then moved to her 20-acres in Prescott Valley. Brother lives in Prescott.

The point is... I would live in Prescott over anywhere I have been in AZ, and I have been there a lot over 25 years. You can most often, easily get out of Prescott and ride your bike in Phoenix (or elsewhere south). Some I know in Prescott store their bikes near Phoenix so they can drive down and ride when Prescott has snow and cold.

To me, the summers in Phoenix are simply too hot to bear. However, where I live now sucks entirely. I was just in a meeting in Chicago with management discussing my ability to get out of here in the winter. It looks better and better for me to get out of here next winter. I can only hope; especially since what I do can be done from anywhere with technology. The hold-back are federal laws I have to contend with...

Even snow and cold in Prescott isn't like the midwest. Anyway, I hope you make it out here.

You are so very right on that; although occasionally my sister and brother say the wind can get nasty up there; which makes it sometimes pretty bad. But after this winter here in the Midwest, I am done with it.

We just now broke 1-degree above freezing for the first time since I can remember -- maybe all winter. I tell people, this year every snow-flake that hit the ground is still on the ground since nothing has ever thawed yet. Besides, I have never gone through a winter where the temps were consistently below zero, with it most times being -10 to -20 degrees.

It has just been nuts. With today's 33 degree high, I literally thought it felt warm Total BS... I am getting done with it...

When we reached the store a fella, I don't know, told him he should buy a "real motorcycle", and since he saw my friend hand me the bike keys I figure it was obviously my bike. I did not figure he was sharp enough to realize he just insulted my scooter so I did not get upset. So I stated that he could buy a "real motorcycle" or a good one. The fella said he was talking about a "Harley", one octave drop in his voice. I told him I was too. He called me "one of those smart a..es" I grinned real big and strolled into the store. Some times they are such easy targets that I ALMOST feel bad poking at them. Bless their little hearts.
Thanks for your time

Cactus/Ponch - well considering most HD owners are d!cks to other riders, I could care less if it upsets people, if you aren't in that majority, then obviously you wouldn't make a comment about non-HD's not being real bikes, which would mean you wouldn't hear that comment.

Wow, I really just explained that....

I just celebrated 40 tears ridin skoots, dad brought that shiny 1973 Suzuki TS125 endure home in the back of his work truck in December 1973.

Since then I have always thought a "real motorcycle" had 2 wheels, an engine and all the other stuff to make it go. Regardless of brand name. I truly know those are the basic facts.

Those that want to label their skoot a "real motorcycle" or claim yours(mine) is not a real motorcycle is coming from ego and arrogance and opinion, not facts.

I feel and will always feel sad for them, real sad.

I have to take exception to your assertion that "most HD riders are dicks to other riders". Sure there are some, there are millions of HD owners; but "some other riders" are dicks as well.

Let me make an exact clarification of what I said so not to confuse anyone any further.

Of all the HD riders that I have encountered, the majority are d!cks. Yes, there are some really cool HD owners out there, just like there are some real a-hole metric riders, but considering this WHOLE post started over a slam of a metric bike, I added my two cents.
